On Sunday the 17th of September 2023, we made a big decision that would change our world as we know it. We made the decision to leave the WKSA and rebrand ourselves from Kuk Sool Won, to Han Guk Mu Sool. HGMS is a newly founded, and democratic organisation, run by its school owners, with the hopes of preserving and sharing the traditional Martial Arts of Korea. Like Kuk Sool, it contains the full spectrum of these arts, including forms, weapons training, kicking, striking, throwing and more.

We made this change for a number of reasons, not least to give power to the school owners who proudly display the art, and to get back to the roots of why we all started in the first place – the Martial Arts. We are excited to see what’s in store for us moving forward into the future, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.
